Kaitlin and Dominic chose Bali as their wedding destination without hesitation. They had visited Bali in December 2015, which was their first international holiday together. Kaitlin knew she wanted go tie the knot in Bali long before the actual proposal came. They were inspired by Bali’s people, land, and culture and decided that the Pandawa Cliff Estate was the perfect place for them (also included in Bali’s best wedding villas). The property features beautifully landscaped gardens on a cliff overlooking the Indian Ocean and white sands of Pandawa Beach. There are multiple villas that make up the estate giving you multiple options for your wedding ceremony and reception.

Planning a destination wedding during a pandemic brought its own set of challenges and navigating both families from Australia and the UK was another challenge for Kaitlin and Dominic, guided by their experienced Bali Wedding Planner, Global Weddings they successfully had most of their favorite people, their closest family and friends together for their big day in Bali.

They hosted a luxe garden party, adorned with flowers hanging above the custom-made aisle with a grounded ceremony ring. Every detail had been meticulously planned including custom staging, bar and a special wedding set performed by famous Australian singer Conrad Sewell for their first dance and an incredible show. Kaitlin and Dominic wanted their styling to reflect their personality as a couple: relaxed, unique, and non-traditional. They went for pure luxury wedding-inspired decor with white flowers, furniture, and black and white decor which also included a custom made tattoo parlour so all of their guests could take home a moment to remember their days forever. Safe to say, Global Weddings and Enakai Creative turned their dreams into a reality on their wedding day with every detail planned to perfection.

We spoke to the happy couple who gave us a behind-the-scenes insight into their day, with Axioo Bali capturing all the treasured moments. Kaitlin & Dominic share their experience planning a destination wedding, the importance of trusting your wedding vendors, and their essential advice for future Bali brides-to-be. Our style/Inspiration: We have always loved Global Weddings and particularly loved the wedding they created for Hannah. Our style was modern, elegant and pure luxury. White and black theme for a sophisticated and timeless wedding.

Who we couldn’t have done it without: Narelle, Kylie and Michelle – Global Weddings. Global Weddings went above and beyond to ensure that we had the wedding of our dreams. I still pinch myself over the magic they created for us on our special day.

Advice for future Bali Brides: A Wedding Planner is a must. If you can, have hair and make up stay back for touch ups after the ceremony, invite only your nearest and dearest (quality over quantity). Don’t get caught up in the little things, stay authentic to yourselves and plan a wedding that is a true representation of your love. Don’t compare your wedding to others.

The final part…

What was the hardest part about planning a destination wedding? The hardest part was planning a destination wedding during COVID and navigating both family from Australia and the UK attending the wedding.

Why did you choose Bali as your wedding destination? Dominic and I first traveled to Bali in December 2015, our first international holiday together. We instantly fell in love with the people, land, culture and always knew that when we got married, it would be in Bali. We were able to visit Pandawa Cliff Estate in April 2022 and we knew straight away that we had found our venue.

How did you stay organised while planning a destination wedding? Notes in our phone, excel and regular meetings with Narelle and/or Kylie from Global Weddings. We were also fortunate enough to travel to Bali a number of times leading up to the wedding to meet with vendors etc.

Budget: 180k
